I had been admiring Aarni's dam, Lapinlumon Kiiski from ever since she was a youngster and I had originally booked a bitch puppy from her. However, when Kiiski gave birth to a litter of three gorgeous boys, Sarah the breeder offered me one of them instead and I just could not say no. Aarni lived with
my friend Johanna here in Oulu and did, for example,
obedience and tracking. In October '09, he
gained his BH title and was thereby qualified to compete in
working trials. As for conformation, Aarni was only shown a handful of times but had one CC to his
credit. Aarni was in all likelyhood sterile (based on two
semen analyses), so to our disappointment not a stud
dog. Unfortunately Aarni was poorly for quite a few
months in 2016s/2017, his symptoms waxing and waning, and despite
extensive efforts to figure out what was wrong, we did not
get a hard-and-fast diagnosis (the best guess is eosinophilic
granuloma). Because Aarni would not get better, he had to
be given sleep in June 2017. Thank
